Learning Through Play, Laughter & Connection at Rainbow Preschool in Shoreline
At Rainbow Preschool, learning happens through play, creativity, movement, conversation, and plenty of laughter. Located near Echo Lake Elementary School, this morning preschool program provides children ages 2½ to 5 with a colorful and nurturing environment focused on social and emotional development. From painting and baking to neighborhood walks, mud-kitchen creations, music, art, and dance, Rainbow Preschool gives young children space to explore, build relationships, solve problems, and simply enjoy being kids.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Exactly 3 1/2 years!
Q: What service does your business provide for our community?
A: Rainbow Preschool provides a drop-off, play-based, social/emotional focused morning preschool program for children 2 1/2 to 5-years-old. Regular activities include but are not limited to: painting, neighborhood walks, baking, identifying feelings, creating in the mud kitchen, problem solving, chit chatting, reading, snacking, and laughing!
Q: What has been your proudest moment in business so far?
A: The first time I had a younger sibling of one of my students also enroll at Rainbow Preschool. Having returning families is a huge compliment!
Q: What advice would you give to someone starting a business in Shoreline?
A: Join the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce! It’s an incredible way to meet, support, and be supported by fellow entrepreneurs in our own neighborhood.
Q: What’s your next upcoming event?
A: Back to school! Enroll now for the 26/27 school year! Look for me on September 12th at the Shoreline Town Center Pop-Up along the Interurban Trail from 10am-2pm. And I will be at the October 31st Shoreline Farmer’s Harvest Market at the 192nd/Aurora Park & Ride from 10am-2pm. See you there!
Q: Why do you like being a teacher?
A: The funny things that kids say! And when a parent reports to me something that their child does or says at home that lets me know that Rainbow Preschool makes a difference!
Q: What is your favorite part of the program?
A: I’m very proud to work with such amazing guest teachers who provide the kiddos with music classes, art classes, and dance classes! The kids just LOVE to move their bodies and create!
